People lived very differently in Europe during the Middle Ages.
How did people live during the Middle Ages?
Students will know and be able to:
Plan, focus, select and process information from different sources about topic.
Organize, record and evaluate information to share and review.
Stage 2 - Assessment Evidence
Students will work with a partner to locate information about selected topics of “Medieval Life” to put into a slideshow presentation that will be made to the class.

Stage 3 - Learning Plan
Teaching and Learning Activities
Students will be divided up into teams of two to research one topic on medieval life.
Students will research info on topic and create a story board before they begin computer work.
Exploration of the basics of Appleworks slide show.
Students will begin to enter info acquired onto slides.
Students will consult evaluation rubric to modify their slide show and get more info if required.
Students will complete slide show and prepare presentation.
Students will present, peers will be selected to evaluate presentations
After presentations students will evaluate their contribution to group and their project partners.
Computer lab sessions:
Session1 & 2 Exploration of Presentation Theme: animals
Logon. Preview a slide show. Launch Presentation
Select a background (from assignment folder). Make 4 slides to begin:
1.Title + name +add clipping/picture from library
2.Title next slide Dog. Using clippings library, add one picture. Write one sentence.
3.Title next slide with favorite animal.
4.Use google image to find picture and copy to slide
5.Title next slide with favorite animal.
6.Use google to find picture and download picture to folder.
Show how to insert picture from folder.
1. Logon.Select background from assignment folder. 2. Create title page. Save as Medieval.initials. 3. Create 1 page at a time and add text only.
1. Complete texts 2. Begin inserting pictures.
Session 5 & 6
1. Complete work. 2. Demonstrate transitions and play options.
