Stage 1 - Desired Results
The student will research an Inventor, gathering key information.
Identify, with guidance, sources of information and ideas and access information and ideas from those sources. Sources may include library, classroom, community and computer-based resources

This information must be judged for authenticity.
Inventors reached their goals in many different ways (by accident, observation, guess & check, etc.)

In your opinion, would be the top three inventions of all time?
Students will know and be able to:
-understand that inventors change the world.
-understand that inventions may be modified and changed with time.
-discuss and explain how inventions developed over time.
-use "Inspirations" software to plan their project.
-use computer based research techniques.
Stage 2 - Assessment Evidence
To create a trading card on an Inventor.
Goal: Gather information on Inventors and inventing
Role: Student is a promoter of their inventor - to get them into the Science Hall of Fame
Audience: Odyssium Hall of Fame
Situation: Science and Technology people are looking for ideas to promote science and scientists. We're going to promote these scientists and science inventions within our school.

Teaching and Learning Activities
#1 Exploration of Inspiration:
-type name in main bubble
-using rapid fire, add: date of birth, country of origin, favorite things
-show how to format text, bubbles, links
-explore the arrange option
-add information in note boxes
-look at outline format
